A new beginning at the Holzminden site
|
The facilities that had been rented in Holzminden as early as 1943 are extended in 1944 with the construction of new production halls on the same site, in order to create adequate capacity. The year after, production of non-electrical appliances such as saucepans, frying pans, washing sprinklers and irons is launched.

With 400 employees production of electrical appliances such as convection ovens and hot plates and hobs is resumed. Hot water appliances, such as immersion heaters, are also manufactured again.

With the DH 18 STIEBEL ELTRON brings the first hydraulic instantaneous water heater of a new generation onto the market during the founding years of the Federal Republic of Germany. Electro-coal hot water heaters continue to round off the range of products. During these years STIEBEL ELTRON comes to be known as the synonym for hot water. Worldwide trade fairs become a home game for innovation and technology made in Holzminden.

STEIBEL ELTRON starts up manufacture of galley kitchens. It pushes ahead with the expansion of the headquarters and the factory in Holzminden. The number of employees increases as does the turnover.

|
The first small water heater SNU 5 is built. It sets new standards for convenient heating of hot water in both kitchens and bathrooms. What is more this year STIEBEL ELTRON starts on production of coffee machines for commercial aircraft.

The first water boiler EBK 5 goes into production and is still one component of the product range today in a modified form. Even in the first year 145,000 hot water heaters were manufactured. And the figures are on the up.
