New air heat pumps with intermediate vapour injection WPL E
to overviewNew air heat pumps with intermediate vapour injection – WPL E
| With a totally new series of models STIEBEL ELTRON reinforces its status as the leader in heat pump technology. The Series E air|water heat pumps set new standards for efficiency and excel with even better annual coefficients of performance. The German market leader relies here on established products and is sticking to the existing, award-winning design. The changes have taken place on the inside of the heat pump. “As the most important innovation we are now using an electronic expansion valve that is regulated by a control, which we have developed entirely within our company”, explains Managing Director Dr. Kai Schiefelbein. “Whilst external standard controls are normally used, in this control we offer a solution that has been developed in our own company which is adapted 100% to the appliance in question.” The new intermediate vapour injection also ensures a significant improvement in efficiency. Once outside temperatures have reached a certain level vaporized refrigerant is injected directly into the compressor. The emphasis here is on vapour, since liquid refrigerant was previously used for recompression. By using this method, efficiency of energy recovery from the environment at the range of low outside temperatures below five degrees is improved considerably. This is a temperature range where air|water heat pumps had previously demonstrated significant drops in
