Stiebel Eltron UK wins prestigious environmental award

Stiebel Eltron UK has scooped a top prize at a prestigious regional business awards evening.
The German firm beat off stiff competition to win the Environmental Award at the Wirral Business Awards in front of 400 guests. Stiebel Eltron moved its UK head office to Wirral International Business Park in February 2008.
UK managing director Mark McManus accepted the award and paid tribute to the enormous hard work of his team over the last 12 months.
“The judges recognised the huge effort Stiebel Eltron is putting into the green economy locally, regionally and nationally,” he said. “Stiebel Eltron‘s products are at the forefront of Green Revolution and we will continue to invest in the local Wirral economy creating jobs and sharing expertise and learning. Wirral Council has been hugely welcoming and encouraging to Stiebel Eltron to relocate to the Wirral. The council are a forward thinking authority and green energy is very much the future.”
The judges paid tribute to the number of initiatives undertaken by the firm including a free energy efficiency report service for any building in the UK as well as specialist training courses for installers.
