Stiebel Eltron UK was delighted to win a supply contract for our energy efficient SH50 S hot water heaters to a modular buildings company supporting the major developments in London during 2012.

Two of each unit were installed into each two-bed accommodation block to supply a shower and washing facilities on site to the numerous support staff that the event demands.

The initial plan was for 100 accommodation blocks but this grew to meet demands as the site reached its peak.

The SH50 Sunits (50 litre) were supplied to Elliott Ltd and installed at their manufacturing plant in Cannock, Staffordshire at the beginning of 2011.

Elliott Ltd are a world leading modular building designer and manufacturer and these units were used for their ‘Eco’ range. Stiebel Eltron UK has a strong relationship with Elliott and they were once again happy with our hot water solutions.

The modular units were designed as a live - in unit that would be used overnight only.

Therefore, hot water would only be required morning and night so the low power meant that recovery times were never an issue.

Stuart Doggrell, National Account Manager for Stiebel Eltron, said: "The key feature of the ‘SH’ range was the flexibility to wire as low as 1kW, enhancing the ‘green ’ credentials of the modular units and the limitation of power available on site.

"The low standby heatlosses also influenced Elliott Ltd's decision to use Stiebel Eltron products."
